Overseas Amateur Bands to Perform Along with Professionals in Country Music Week

The Organizing Committee of 2013 Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week has revealed that overseas amateur singers and bands will be recruited for the first time, to appreciate the "music carnival" along with music groups holding official invitations.

According to the organizing committee, regardless of age, region, performance type or music style, anyone or any group that showcases the charm of national country music can register by logging on the website After careful selection, the bands will be issued a permit from the organizing committee. With this permit, they can visit Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Cave, Baofeng Lake and other scenic areas for free and perform in music shows on designated sites.

Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week, held every other year since 2009, is aimed at exhibiting and exchanging diverse country music from nations across the world, and promoting the genre. It also aims at promoting development of national culture and art, and enhancing the identity and repute of Zhangjiajie in Hunan and the world at large.
